How to Use the Israeli\u00a0Amutah\u2019s <\/em>Name<\/h4>\n

The amutah <\/em>must always use its full name as it appears in its certificate of registration in all material signed or published by the amutah<\/em>.\u00a0 An amutah <\/em>may not use different names for different purposes.\u00a0 In addition to this, one of these terms should follow the name of the amutah<\/em>: R.A. (standing for Registered Amutah<\/em>), Registered Amutah<\/em> or just Amutah<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Israeli\u00a0Amutah\u2019s <\/em>Logo<\/h4>\n

If the amutah <\/em>would like to use its name in its logo, it may do so without the accompanying \u201cR.A.\u201d or the other variations.\u00a0 It may only do so if the logo does not mislead others.\u00a0\u00a0 However, all an amutah\u2019s <\/em>documents must include the term \u201cR.A.\u201d (or one of the similar terms) indicating its status.\u00a0 When writing the amutah\u2019s <\/em>name, “R.A.,” Registered\u00a0Amutah<\/em> or Amutah<\/em>\u00a0 must appear prominently on organizational letterhead or other documentation.<\/p>\n

The Objectives of the Israeli\u00a0Amutah<\/em><\/h4>\n

When applying with the Registrar of Amutot <\/em>to register an organization, it is necessary to list a series of amutah<\/em> objectives which the Registrar has on file.\u00a0 These objectives can also be recorded and updated with the Registrar at some other time.\u00a0 At the same time, it is important to make sure that the nonprofit organization\u2019s (amutah\u2019s<\/em>) objectives match the objectives registered with the Registrar of Amutot<\/em>.\u00a0 If for some reason the objectives are different, the amutah <\/em>will have to obtain court approval before registering with the Registrar.<\/p>\n

An amutah <\/em>is required to fulfill its clearly defined objectives and is not permitted to engage in any activity that does not meet its objectives, even if these actions provide important public services.\u00a0 If an amutah <\/em>cannot meet some of its own objectives, then those specific objectives need to be removed.\u00a0 In order to add or remove objectives that seem to overlap too closely with an amutah\u2019s <\/em>current objectives, the amutah <\/em>may meet at a General Assembly and discuss resolutions that will then need to be assessed by the Registrar of Amutot<\/em>.\u00a0 In order to add or remove objectives that are different from those already listed in the amutah\u2019s <\/em>official objectives, the amutah <\/em>must receive court approval.\u00a0 Additionally the Executive Board must bring the issue to the General Assembly to make sure that donor funds which were granted for specific objectives are still met.\u00a0 Objectives are only valid once they are registered with the Registrar.<\/p>\n

In the event that an amutah<\/em> is not promoting its objectives, the amutah <\/em>will not be able to receive a certificate of proper management<\/a>.\u00a0 In order to receive it, the amutah <\/em>will need to prove that it will function as prescribed in Israel\u2019s amutah <\/em>rules and regulations.<\/p>\n
